Goodyk Family Kittens

Back on April 24th, we had our very first litter of kittens. The mother kitten had adopted us as her family. She followed Miles over to Nana & Papa's one morning, and decided she liked them better. So, she stayed and made herself at home on their front porch. Shortly after, we discovered she was in the 'family' way. We set up a box with blankets, got her all comfy, and waited for the arrival of her offspring. It was the MOST amazing experience, next to the birth of my own children. I missed the delivery of the first one, which turned out to be a really big kitten and didn't survive. She then delivered one more before Myrna ran over to relieve me at home, so I could go watch. While I was there, she delivered three more, one of which was breech!!! That kind of spooked me. We now have 4 completely and totally healthy kitten, 3 males and 1 female. After they are weaned, we are giving them away, have always planned to do that. Then after they've all got good homes, the mommy (Glo-Eye's, named by Miles) will be spayed. She is such a loveable little thing, I hope she stays around after her babies are gone.

Here are some pictures in progression. First the day they were born, then a few days later, and a few days later, and most recently today, now that their eye's are open!! Don't they have the most beautiful blue eyes? Does anybody know if they stay that way? They are adorable.
